Ouray Ice Festival 2010
The fifteenth international Ice Festival took place in Ouray (USA) a fortnight ago.
The event attracted thousands of ice climbers and the competition was won by Josh Wharton (USA) and Ines Papert (GER). Will Gadd from Canada climbed almost 8000m of vertical ice in a 24 hour non-stop marathon to raise funds for a charity. Ines Papert has the report.

Cirque of the Unclimbables, Canada: Fantastic climbs for Ines Papert and Lisi Steurer
In August Ines Papert from Germany and Lisi Steurer from Austria made the first ascent of "Power of Silence" 400m, 5.13a on the Middle Huey Spire in the Cirque of the Unclimbables, Canada.

Also in 2009 I'll be part of the Squamish Mountain Festival. Together with Audrey Gariepy we will present out "Winter in Nepal" Expedition.
The Festival takes place from the 12th to the 16th of August in Squamish, Canada.
